From the Artist: "This is actually very personal to me because it is a painting in front of the first church and my parents are actually holding me. It was important to keep it as real as possible, but because the original picture is so old and only has black and white shadows, I infused it with color and it made it quite abstract, which came out well. Personally, I think at a time like this, it is crucial to think back to the origins of our movement and what we stood for. That to me is what my parents are about, and they have never wavered from that regardless of what people have accused them of. Still, to this day, we are fighting against socialism and communism and asking for religious freedom, which is being taken away inch by inch."
